p>Tubecon is an international community-driven YouTube? event that brings together YouTube? creators and viewers in large-scale public events. Tubecon was first held in August 2014 at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki. It attracted over 5,000 people. [1] Since then Tubecon has been organized 25 times in 4 different countries so far (Finland, Sweden, Spain and Switzerland) with a total of 120,000 people attending all events. [2]

p>In recent years Tubecon has seen a significant increase in attendance, as the YouTube? and online influencer community has also increased. The largest Tubecon events have gathered over 18,000 visitors and featured over 200 YouTubers? and online influencers.

p>Tubecon program is created in collaboration with local online influencers and comprises a variety of elements like Meet & Greets, Tubecon Video Awards panels and concerts. In 2018 Tubecon is taking place in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Switzerland and letters of intent have been signed in Romania, Latvia and Austria. [3]

p>The Tubecon story began in 2014 when Finnish creators decided to put together an event that they and their viewers could meet each other in a fun and safe way. [4]

p>Tubecon 2015 was held at Hartwall Arena in August 2015[5] with over 10,000 visitors.

p>The Finnish Tubecon took place between 12 and 13 August 2016, The second day of the event being completely sold out. The event was attended by 18,500 people. [6]

p>Sweden[edit]

p>Tubecon in Sweden began in Stockholm on January 6, 2016. It was attended by more than 4500 people. They also organized an autumn tour which started on September 9 in Vasteras, and ended on 10 Dec in Kungsbacka. Around 50 YouTube? creators visited 8 cities. [7] In 2016 more than 15,000 people visited Tubecon Sweden events.

p>The Tubecon was held in Germany at the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen on February 20 the 20th of February, 2016. Additional tickets for VIP and Aftershow were also available.

p>The Finnish event was held in Hartwall Arena between 12-13 August and attracted about 17,500 people. [8]

p>The first ever Tubecon Spain was held on the 18th of February at the wiZink Center in Madrid. The event was attended by about 4,000 people who attended and more than 200 Spanish creators in attendance. [9]

p>Switzerland[edit]

p>Tubecon Switzerland was organized for the first time at Zurich's Hallenstation on the 29th of December. The event attracted approximately 2,500 people. [11]

p>The Finnish Tubecon was held in Messukeskus Helsinki from 17-18 August for the first time. The theme for the event was "My Story". Around 200 Finnish YouTubers? took part in the event. Tubecon hosted international creators from the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Thailand, and Germany in the first ever Tubecon World Meet. Bars and Melody, Jon Cozart, Softpomz, and MrTrashPack? were among the international creators. A new TubeCity? concept was revealed during the event. It allowed various genres, such as fashion, beauty, gaming and food to have their own blocks within the city-like event space. A new initiative was also introduced. Tubecon also introduced Tube Academy which is an educational track that is open to creators and anyone who wanted to understand more about video making and the business. [12]
