I mean how many times do we need the opinions and sometimes twisted facts about Mitt Romney and Barrack Obama, and their respective party's positions, hammered at us by the opposing sides and their supporting media friends, before we have enough information to make an informed decision?

As one reporter stated, "The American people are not stupid!" He's right. We know what McCain? is doing and why. We know he has not laid out one single plan to rectify the eight years of Republican rule that has literally brought our economy into recession, along with two wars and more and more homeowners in foreclosure.

Why is that? Canadian law doesn't limit how long politicians can campaign, but it does strictly limit how much money they can spend on a campaign. That's no matter if it's the candidate's own money, or money contributed by supporters or special interests. And Canada seems to have been a pretty well run country over the years.

As an American, I am ashamed at the Republican Party in particular and some of the populous in general, who have continually attacked Barak Obama. What is the fear? Why is prejudice and racism rearing its ugly head now; at a time when we desperately need someone with a vision, someone with a calm reasoning, someone who is young, vibrant, and able to effectively deal with the many problems facing us as one nation.

And none of the parties protest that there isn't enough time to make their views known to voters and have their promises considered.

The election will be held on the 6th May and voting takes place between 7.00 am and 10.00 pm. In many areas local elections are also being held on the same day.
