For Friends fans out there, you'll remember the episode where Monica dated Fun Bobby who in their previous relationship had always been up for a good time, getting drunk, and being the life and soul of the party. When Monica dates him again, she realises he was only Fun Bobby because he was drunk all the time and she asks him to give up alcohol, only for it to result in him being mind numbingly boring, which has her reaching for the booze just to cope with him.

On Friday I went out for a surprise birthday dinner for a friend which was essentially 5 couples at a Thai restaurant taking the piss all evening. My reputation for being a Michael Jackson dancer and pisstaker came back to haunt me when it came to light that I was going to be sober for the evening. I am not joking when I say that two of the guys (Birthday Boy & Male NML) nearly wept and threw little tantrums, accusing the boyf of having me under the thumb (oh purlease! As if that could happen!) The worst thing was that there was a couple who we didn't know who must have thought I was a complete lunatic. I was horrified when I realised that I was thought of as a Fun Bobby!

Eventually, after several wisecracks and a proof that my pisstaking, singing along to MJ and the bitchiness still holds without alcohol in the system, I was forgiven but poor boyf took a hammering from the lads. Male NML is my friends boyfriend who months ago lost his MJ mojo when he discovered that I could out hee hee and MJ dance him. We are like evil twins together and when we hang out, it's like he's been let loose to misbehave. We were nearly crying with laughter as we ripped the piss out of the boyf's bro for feeling 'disturbed' by Brokeback Mountain so much that he felt compelled to turn it off. "I'm in touch with my sexuality" Male NML announced, "Although I don't watch that type of film usually..." he added with a cheeky wink. "The type of films you watch come with dodgy covers and are more like porn. You'd be watching Brokeback Batty!" I wisecracked. "Yeah, and I would have got it from the boyf!" he countered and we all fell around laughing.
