p>The latest controversy that has erupted in relation to "Squid Game," which is rated TV-MA in the United States, relates to the excitement it has created in children. This includes warnings from an Australian school that children as younger than 6 are creating games that were featured on the gory and dark show.

p>A council in Southern England recently sent an email to parents, urging parents to "be vigilant" following reports that "young people are copying games and violence" from the show. Similar warnings were issued in Australia by educators from Western Australia and Sydney.

p>In "Squid Game," characters compete for a cash prize by taking part in challenges that complement the traditional Korean children's games, with "losers" being killed at the end of each round. Further highlighting the show's twisted version of child's play the games are played out in highly stylized arenas, like an adult-sized children's playground. These traditional children's play areas are often with bloody stains and littered with corpses after every challenge. The show is definitely a craze within children's digital cultures.

p>YouTube? Kids has many popular channels that capitalize on the "Squid Game" trend. These channels are for viewers under the age of 12. The content on YouTube? includes How to Draw "Squid Game" character videos, and "Squid Game" games that are themed for the online video game Roblox.

p>On both the main and kids' version of YouTube? videos that are targeted at children show users (often children) playing these "Squid Game" inspired games in Roblox and Minecraft, with the "Red Light, Green Light" challenge emerging as a particularly popular trend. This challenge is also a popular trend on TikTok? and users are playing the game in a variety of real-life settings and videogames Roblox and Minecraft.

p>The "Red Light, Green Light" scene has been deemed to be one of "Squid Game's" most popular moments: The massive animatronic doll that acts as a deadly motion sensor in the game has been extensively popularized. The doll is often featured in thumbnails on YouTube? videos of "Squid Game" as well as other related content for children.

p>These YouTube? videos featuring children are pretty harmless. These videos show how "Squid Game," a digital content platform that specifically targets young children has managed to be a sneaky way to access digital content. But the boundaries between adult and child-oriented content online have always been murky.

p>YouTube? has been at the heart of a number of controversies concerning inappropriate content targeted at children. TikTok? has also been affected by similar concerns about children's security and inappropriate content viewed by children. TikTok? allows children over 13 years old full access to the app however, there are reports that indicate that children younger than 13 are using it. TikTok? is currently being questioned by the U.S. Senate about children's safety.

p>After a historic fine of $170 million imposed on YouTube? by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission in 2019, sweeping changes were made to make the distinction between adult and children's content easier to spot on the platform. YouTube? now requires creators to inform YouTube? that their content is designed for children. Machine learning is used to recognize videos with young viewers.

p>The increasing global anxiety over children's participation in "Squid Game" challenges is similar to the "Momo" phenomenon in 2018 and 2019. A photo of a spooky-looking image went viral on the internet. The image was actually an authentic Japanese sculpture.

p>The international news media covered "Momo," which claimed that the creature appeared in children's videos on YouTube? in order to encourage children to play dangerous games and challenges.

p>As is currently happening in the context of "Squid Game,"" official warnings were issued to parents about the "Momo Challenge," advising them to be vigilant. It was quickly discovered that the "Momo Challenge", an internet-wide hoax, was likely an elaborate ruse.
