Also in the BCRA was the rule that advertisements paid for by a corporation (including non-profit organizations) could not use a candidates name within 30 days of a primary and 60 days of a general election. In effect the bill limited free speech, throwing out the first amendment and putting set rules on the speech of an organization. Sounds like big government to me.

Mitt Romney put out a lot of ads. In fact, you couldn't turn on the TV or radio without hearing one of them. In spite of all his advertising, he still didn't win. Did Obama out-advertise him? Maybe. That's hard to quantify or qualify. But regardless, Romney's ads didn't put him in the White House.

At the second meeting of the N.S.A. on May 1st, 1880, again held at the Guildhall, Cambridge, Mr. Townley raised the question of the definition of an amateur which vexed topic has been under discussion ever since.

So on three key issues, political reform, fairness and civil liberties he has a very low regard for Labour. This attack on the lack of integrity of Gordon Brown will lead to increased speculation that if there was any deal with Labour then one price would be that they would have to ditch their leader Gordon Brown. There have already been three attempted coups by the Labour Party to remove him as leader and he remains an unelected Prime Minister and I believe an unelected leader of his party. Mr Clegg has said that the system was "clearly bonkers" and that "It would be preposterous for Gordon Brown to end up like some squatter in no 10 because of some constitutional nicety".

Considering only our own personal interests and voting accordingly makes us "egocentric." Here is a hint: that means "selfish!" (for readers of my blog, that corresponds with the "Lawless" level.) It also means we don't have much compassion for anyone outside of ourselves. I contend that the critical mass of this nation has grown beyond this stage of existence. http://mediaaksi.com/ contend that more people than not have matured to a point where they can consider the needs of others - in life in general as in voting. So let's not just vote according to our own personal interests.

malaysia election But McCain?'s campaign advisers stood up and made their candidate face a hard reality; something the Obama campaign has had difficulty. McCain? not only listened to the feedback but based his decision on it.

Clearly the Obama campaign never imagined that McCain? would pick Sarah. They, like most Democrats, were initially stunned. They couldn't believe McCain? would pick an unknown.

When I visited Alaska almost 20 years ago, I was told by the tour guide that of all the states in the nation, Alaska had the highest incidents of rape. This makes sense if you have every visited Nome, where there are more bars on every street corner than in NYC. Yet, Sarah Palin as Governor of Alaska has not addressed this problem. Why should she? She does not believe in abortion in cases of rape or incest. A Governor is supposed to act on behalf of the people she represents, regardless of her own beliefs.
