p>YouTuber? and Minecraft streamer Technoblade has passed away at the age of 23 following a long battle with cancer stage four.

p>The creator of content from San Francisco who kept his identity a secret and only revealed his name in the final video as "Alex" gained fame after posting videos of himself playing Minecraft online in 2013. He eventually went on to gain more than 10,000,000 subscribers.

p>He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in August. He was able to spend most of the year in a secluded area away from the media receiving chemotherapy.

p>While it is not known the type of cancer Alex was diagnosed with however, he was able to raise funds for sarcoma charities - and in December Alex revealed that he had undergone surgery to remove a tumor from his arm.

p>In a video that was uploaded to Technoblade's YouTube? channel this morning that was titled "So long nerds," his father who's name is not known revealed the devastating announcement of his son's passing with his many followers, while relaying an emotional farewell message from the famous YouTube? star.

p>In a tweet, he called his son 'the most amazing kid', he then shared an audio recording of his son, who stated: 'If I had another hundred lives, I believe I would like to be Technoblade again every single time as those were the most wonderful years of my life.'

p>Technoblade was a highly private person who rarely shared his personal information. He mostly uploaded videos on the game sandbox Minecraft.

p>In one video, he revealed his parents were divorced and that he stayed with his father, who owns a movie studio.

p>In August, however, he shared the shocking news of his cancer diagnosis in a video titled 'Where I've been'. It has since been viewed 13 million times.

p>In the video, he told his fans that he was diagnosed with cancer following a thought he had an arm injury, revealing: 'In the final days of July my right arm began to hurt quite a bit.'
