p>The Minecraft Forum is an open, community-driven forum for Minecraft. It was created by community member citricsquid on June 16, 2009. Since then, it has been run by the community with Mojang Studios not being involved in the day-to-day operation (although certain Mojang Studios employees do have accounts).

p>In September 2010, Redstone Wire Ltd. was formed to manage the site, and on November 15 2010 the site was purchased by Curse, who operated and owned the site until it was bought by MagicFind? in June 2019. The forum software used was named Cobalt and was developed in-house by Curse.

p>The forum is an online platform for the Minecraft community, with game modifications, servers, custom maps and resource packs being shared. Registration to the site is free and anyone who has or without an Minecraft account is permitted to access the site. Forum administration is managed by PuyoDead? and citricsquid. The moderating team is comprised of more than 100[4] volunteers.
