Adam Putnam wins Florida Commissioner of Agriculture race: My post on this race was one of the most popular in the state. I hope that a lot of people read it and that our new Commissioner of Agriculture will make the day to day operations easier for his constituents.

Considering only our own personal interests and voting accordingly makes us "egocentric." Here is a hint: that means "selfish!" (for readers of my blog, that corresponds with the "Lawless" level.) It also means we don't have much compassion for anyone outside of ourselves. I contend that the critical mass of this nation has grown beyond this stage of existence. I contend that more people than not have matured to a point where they can consider the needs of others - in life in general as in voting. So let's not just vote according to our own personal interests.

malaysia election There is no serious opposition from either party and with Hillary we get two for the price of one, with the first woman President getting top billing. What Hillary lacks in charm and charisma, Bill makes up for in spades. All he has to do is campaign for Hillary and then he can disappear from public view, if he or Hillary chooses. We know Bill will be on call to apply his experience and personal connections should trouble arise.

Mitt Romney put out a lot of ads. In fact, you couldn't turn on the TV or radio without hearing one of them. In spite of all his advertising, he still didn't win. Did Obama out-advertise him? It's a great story and now the district has the representative that really represents what they're all about. Strong conservative leadership. Forget money, she had people and they worked as hard as anyone to knock on doors and get those yards signs out.

What did Alex Sink do wrong? Well, that's a tough one. Her biggest mistake when referring to this race wasn't done during her campaign or even during her tenure with Bank of America or Nations Bank.

But the real damage came from the lack of surrogate control; the surrogates were going after Sarah in ways no other candidate had ever been attacked. The hope was they could quickly discredit Sarah or cause her to quit.

The idea is absurd, tax the American people more in an effort to stop something that is unstoppable. It's just another example of how McCain? gives up his ground to the left in the name of bipartisanship.
