p>Minecraft intends to make it easier for players to get hold of content made by community creators and fans.

/p>

p>Many users have already created intricate worlds for exploration, adventures to enjoy, or altered the game to offer new experiences.

/p>

p>Now they'll be able to legally sell the content via the game itself, in the brand-new Minecraft Marketplace.

/p>

p>Producer John Thornton told Newsbeat that the platform is designed to help entrepreneurs start businesses.

/p>

p>The people who make adventure maps skin packs for characters or experiences to play in the game aren't allowed to sell directly to other players.

/p>

p>Official Minecraft content is not sold in this manner. However, some players still earn a living from the game.

/p>

p>James Delaney, is founder of a group of Minecraft creators known as Blockworks and has been able to establish a business despite the limitations.

/p>

p>He is happy to welcome the Marketplace.

/p>

p>"Hopefully it's the start of regular and stable income," he tells Newsbeat.

/p>

p>"In the past, we relied on commissions to bring into our businesses, and you don't know when that will be."

/p>

p>He is the responsible person for 62 creators working in 20 countries.

/p>

p>Their main source of income comes from creating Minecraft-based content for educational and marketing campaigns.

/p>

p>James "got really into" creating Minecraft maps with his online buddies, and realized some time later that it was feasible to earn a living from it.

/p>

p>He says, "At least now we know there is an audience for our content."

/p>

p>"If it succeeds then we will know that we will be able to work on a more consistent and stable basis."

/p>

p>"Also it's content we can choose to make instead of being asked to create. Therefore, we can control the content with our own creativity."

/p>

p>The marketplace will be available later this year and be accessible on Windows 10 and Pocket versions of the game.

/p>

p>This means that the majority of the estimated 120 million users of Minecraft around the world will have access to it, although people who play on consoles will not.

/p>

p>John Thornton states, "Our ambition is to work towards connecting creators and our players."

/p>

p>"On Pocket edition, it can be difficult to get content onto devices. This makes it difficult for users and creators to share their favorite content with the world.

/p>

p>"By connecting creators to the marketplace , it'll make it easier for players to find something they want to play with, purchase it and have it on their devices."

/p>

p>People will be able to build community experiences outside the market, and players will be having access to them for free.

/p>

p>Producers hope that people will pay for the content that is simpler to find. https://photography-blogs.co.uk/ </p>

p>John says, "If you want people to share your content now, you need to put it on the internet and tell them where it is."

/p>

p>"You can use existing social networks to accomplish this, but it's more effective if you bring that into the game."

/p>

p>"Players can interact with the things they want to interact with in the context of the game they enjoy."

/p>

p>He hopes that the game will allow people like James to have thriving businesses through the game.

/p>

p>The Minecraft team is launching a new service with nine creators from all over the globe.

/p>

p>The central Minecraft team will be monitoring the adventure maps, skin packs and other experiences to ensure that they are appropriate for the players of the game.
