NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of travelers from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4% rise over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% over the year before.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019 he stated. "The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are delighted to witness this change and anticipate a steady upward trend for months and even years.

Canada is set to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 in August.
