p>The Minecraft Forum is a community-driven forum for Minecraft. It was started by a community member, citricsquid, on June 16 in 2009. Since the time, it has been run by the community with Mojang Studios not being involved in the day-to-day operations (although certain Mojang Studios employees do have accounts).

p>Redstone Wire Ltd. was formed in September 2010 to manage this site. On November 15 in 2010, Curse purchased the site[2][3]. https://979uc.com/ Curse owned and operated the site until it was incorporated into the MagicFind? group of MagicFind? in June 2019. The forum software used is called Cobalt and was developed in-house by Curse.

p>The forum functions as an online hub for the Minecraft community with game modifications, servers, custom maps, and resource packs that are all shared. Registration to the site is free and anyone with or without a Minecraft account is allowed to access the site. Forum administration is handled by citricsquid and PuyoDead? as well as the forum moderator team is made up of over 100[4] volunteers.

p>The homepage of the site includes news, videos interviews, contests, and articles, relating to Minecraft, Mojang Studios and the Minecraft community in general. The front page news is run by Sacheverell with videos from the MCSpotlights YouTube? Channel and the Curse YouTube? channel.

p>On May 20, 2019, citricsquid announced that the forums would be read-only on June 16, 2019. But, on June 12, 2019, the archival service was removed and the ownership of the site was transferred to another company. [6]
