p>YouTuber? and Minecraft streamer Technoblade was killed at the age of 23 following a year-long battle with stage four cancer.

p>The content creator from San Francisco who kept his identity secret and only revealed his name in the end of the video as "Alex" rose to fame after posting videos of himself playing Minecraft online in 2013. He then went on to gain more than 10 million subscribers.

p>He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in August. He spent the majority of the year away from the media being treated for cancer.

p>Although it is not clear what kind of cancer Alex was suffering from at the time however, he continued to raise funds for sarcoma charity organizations and revealed in December that he had undergone surgery to remove an arm tumor.

p>In a video posted to Technoblade's YouTube? channel on the day of the release that was titled 'So long nerds', his father who is not known, shared the heartbreaking news of his son's passing with his many followers as well as a posthumous message of condolence from the famous YouTube? star.
