I've watched and heard the two men clearly in rapport with each other. I've listened to the outcome of negotiations where compromises have clearly been made for the higher good, the benefit of the British nation. I've watched people from two opposing parties working co-operatively rather than the normal aggressive, confrontative dog fights which are oh so familiar in political life.

He still has enough left in him to debate, but a few blunders have already cost him the season.

With a shaky voting record and social beliefs far from the conservative median, McCain? is certainly not the GOP's knight in shining armor. Talk radio has assailed him for abandoning the party on key issues and they're absolutely right.

Considering only our own personal interests and voting accordingly makes us "egocentric." Here is a hint: that means "selfish!" (for readers of my blog, that corresponds with the "Lawless" level.) It also means we don't have much compassion for anyone outside of ourselves. I contend that the critical mass of this nation has grown beyond this stage of existence. I contend that more people than not have matured to a point where they can consider the needs of others - in life in general as in voting. So let's not just vote according to our own personal interests.
