The fact of the matter is this year's presidential election process has been boring. It's the equivalent of watching grass grow everyday for six hours. Not that I don't love politics and the bickering and infighting and speculation that McCain? or Clinton was out of the race months ago. But for this campaign to have lasted over 480 days by the time the conventions roll around, that's absurd.

In Canada, by law election campaigns must run for a minimum of 36 days, but there is no mandated maximum time. Yet the longest election campaign in Canada in the last 100 years was in 1926, when the campaigning dragged on for all of 74 days.

In the past three elections, nationwide sales of U.S. Presidential candidate masks revealed the winner days before general election results were in. There is of course the small issue that Boris (although a popular leader) is not even an MP. And what's more already has a job as London's mayor. To become Prime Minister Boris would have to become an MP (while still mayor) and then run for Conservative party leader and win (and then maybe win a General Election also). A clever political bet would be to take the 14/1 now and wait for the odds to shorten massively when Boris becomes an MP (surely the odds would drop to about 3/1) and then trade out of the bet.

Rick Scott is the new Governor of Florida and I know two things. He's got the ability to get the state back on its feet and secondly no one knows what to expect.

There are those of us would like to believe we have come further than we ever have since the days of Rosa Parks, but the truth is those who see color first; see color always.
