p>Although Dream began his YouTube? channel in 2014, it's not clear if his videos were uploaded regularly until July 2019. p>Dream began posting content more frequently following his first upload. Felix Kjellberg, known online as the wildly popular PewDiePie? was playing "Minecraft" for his huge audience of more than 100 million users at this point. Dream managed to find an opportunity to alter Kjellberg's "world seed," meaning, the randomly generated world his "Minecraft" game created, using tricks he learned from forums. The video was viewed by 200,000 viewers within two days. He then made three videos that would garner over two million views each. His star was born when Dream had 54,000 subscribers at the end of July.

p>In the following year, Dream would upload fairly regularly, steadily increasing his number of subscribers per month and millions of views on video. His "Minecraft Speedrunner vs." series, in which Dream would decide to play the game while certain NPCs or non-player characters, chased after him, or objectives needed to be accomplished was a huge hit. Dream also began collaborating with GeorgeNotFound? who was a friend and future member on Dream's site for roleplaying that he started in May 2020.

p>Dream has been accused of cheating in Minecraft

/p>

p>Dream's channel was at its subscriber-growth apex, gaining 2.6 million subscribers by August 2020, and becoming the face of the game. He had uploaded a speedrun of the 1.14 version of Minecraft in March of 2020, and 1.15 in June, so when version 1.16 version was released later in the year, he was forced to go with it. He finished his run in fifth position and was happy with the position he was on the leaderboard.

p>Geosquare Moderator of the official speedrun forums and YouTube? channel, uploaded a YouTube? clip entitled "Did Dream fake his Speedruns Official Moderator Analysis" on December 11, 2020. Geosquare and his co-workers Minecraft moderators had analyzed the livestream runs and believed that Dream had recorded events that were too likely to have occurred without the assistance of cheaters or mods. In a document that spanned 29 pages, the mods reached the conclusion that the chances that Dream managed to find the two things required to finish the game that quickly was 1 in 1.75 trillion.

p>In a variety of videos and Twitter threads, Dream denied any wrongdoing. Dream posted an interview on December 23 discussing the claims. Dream shared a research study he'd conducted with Photoexcitation. It concluded that there was a 1 in 100 million chance of his run.

p>Dream's research was disregarded by speedrunning mods who later released a new five-page document. Dream responded with one final tweet, writing that "this drama has caused stress for most of the Minecraft community and a large portion of that is probably due to my initial reaction to the drama. I am fully responsible for the situation."

p>Dream was the victim of Doxxing, harassment, and even doxxing

/p>

p>On January 1, 2021, Dream fans managed to locate his house using a photo of his kitchen posted to his second account and share the data, an invasion of privacy known as doxxing.

/p>

p>In a Twitlonger from January 7th, Dream talked about the incident and his ex-girlfriend who he believes is spreading false allegations about him. Dream denied what he claimed were her claims, saying that he "doesn't take a lot of interest in YouTube?" and that his friends who appear in his videos do not get a "revenue" taken from his channel.

/p>

p>How Dream mastered the YouTube? algorithm?

/p>

p>His understanding of YouTube?'s algorithm is the main reason for Dream's huge growth in 2019 and in 2020.

/p>

p>He places his keywords in the right spots and makes the most of trends and creates thumbnails that people would like to click. Similar to the genius of Jimmy Donaldson, the highly-popular Mr. Beast uses in his videos, Dream has figured out how to be successful on YouTube?.
