p>Xbox has teamed up with preservation society National Trust (opens in new tab) as well as a group of British creatives to create a Minecraft model of Corfe Castle. The rather complex impressive model was commissioned by Xbox UK as part of the National Trust's festival of archaeology and encouraged people to build "their own version of the ruin using the foundations."

/p>

p>To that end, this first build was created by a YouTube? video maker named Grian who's work is featured in the video above as well as on YouTube?. (opens in a new tab) Utilizing historic photos and consulting an expert, and combining Minecraft build expertise with a little artistic license, Grian creates a build that highlights the most fascinating features of Corfe Castle including its historical octagonal tower and miniature palace or "Gloriette." It is a medieval kingly version, I believe, of the Victorian folly.

p>"Grian has done an amazing job restoring Corfe Castle back to its former splendor. He not only accomplished an exact recreation of the various historical styles within the castle grounds but he also incorporated it into his own imagination. Martin Papworth, an archaeologist of the National Trust, said that we are eager to see more inspiring designs created by young minds." https://t-launcher.com/ </p>

p>You can download Corfe's ruins yourself by checking out the Minecraft server corfe.ruinsreimagined.com. The ruin can also be downloaded as an package for Minecraft: Education Edition to be used in classrooms. Microsoft's website has more information. (opens in a new tab)
