p>A world made from cubes doesn't have the capacity to create circles. But a lot of Minecraft players just love defying the rules to create impressive round structures. One fearless builder has gone even further, throwing every rule of the game out the window to build a ring that rotates. A complete moving Halo ring with beam emitters, biomes and a crashed Pelican. The most appealing thing is that you can download the ring and explore it yourself.

/p>

p>The Minecraft YouTuber? called Reach claims that his Halo ring was inspired by a model shared by another creator. This smaller world of rings is impressive, however, commenters on that post suggested it could be even more impressive If it actually worked. Reach was up to the challenge using WorldEdit? and Create to create and engineer rings that actually move.

/p>

p>It was a major undertaking. To control the ring's movements it was utilized the Clockwork Bearing blocks from the Create mod. A single clockwork bearing attached to the ring's edge couldn't complete the task It turned out. "The first time I tried to move it and it wouldn't render due to the entity that was generated being too large for Minecraft to handle," he explains.

/p>

p>Reach decided to split it into four parts using the help of a rotating bearing and an arm. Reach ended with eight bearings that were connected to the different sections of the ring as spokes. "I thought it was not gonna work," he tells me, "but my stubbornness and desire to create something unique for YouTube? and my viewers was enough to get me through." After all that? Holy crap, the thing moves.

/p>

p>If you want to witness the beauty of a ring world yourself, you can download the project over on Planet Minecraft. It requires Minecraft 1.16. Once inside, you'll manually start up the bearings to get it going, but after you're down on the ground it will keep ticking.

/p>

p>It doesn't move continuously, so you won’t need to keep pace with a hamster wheel that moves all the time. The entire ring turns in increments about every 30 seconds. It was a good thing since I was dizzy and motion sick when exploring it. It will take me a while to get my space legs. Reach also required locking every block together in order to make the ring spin as it should, which means you won't actually be able to build or mine here. It's a diorama, rather than a playable environment but still very amazing.

/p>

p>Reach shares more details about his process in the YouTube? video below. He explains the challenges and the design choices he made to give the band a Halo look.

/p>

p>Bless the Minecraft builders. They will never stop.
