p>LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) - Technoblade, a top YouTube? creator who specialized in Minecraft let's play videos and died just one year after he announced an illness that was cancerous, according to a statement from his family. He was 23 years old.

p>In a touching YouTube? video that was posted on Technoblade's channel the YouTuber?'s father revealed that his son had died. His father stated, "He was the most amazing kid anyone could ever wish for." "I miss Technoblade."

p>The Thursday video, entitled "so long geeks," included a posthumous message from the creator to his fans. If you're reading this I'm dead," Technoblade's message said, revealing his real name as Alex. "Thank you to all who have supported my work over the years. p>On Technoblade's online store the message reads "In the memory of his passing A portion of the profits from all online purchases will be donated to a fantastic organization called curesarcoma.org," linking to the Sarcoma Foundation of America.

p>Technoblade who's avatar on YouTube? was a crown king pig currently has 10.8 million users on his YouTube? channel. "I play video games too much. I might not be the greatest, but I do have hot elbows," his YouTube? bio reads.

p>A statement at the end of the video posted Thursday read, "We, the family of Technoblade we wanted you to know how much he adored and respected his followers and colleagues. From the very beginning of Technoblade's online existence, he was always strategizing ways to please and reward his followers. He managed to keep his humour and good nature despite his accomplishments and maintained a charming balance between his confidence level and his self-deprecating wit. We ask you to respect his desire to keep his identity secret and to prevent him from becoming famous.

p>The statement continued, "This past year has seen a number of difficult times for our son as he battled stage four cancer. He never complained and continued to use his strategic mind to conquer what he thought was almost impossible odds. My son's courage on this journey was a shining example for all of us who were fortunate enough to walk it with him. Thank you for sharing his journey as he completed the work he loved for his beloved fans."

p>According to his father Technoblade sent his final message to his fans eight hours before his death. "I don't think Technoblade said everything he wanted to say however I believe he got the main points," his father said.

p>Technoblade announced the diagnosis of cancer in August 2021. He told reporters that he began feeling discomfort in his right arm during the previous month, initially thinking it was a stress-related injury caused by gaming. After a few days, he noticed his shoulder swelling and thought that he might have fractured bone. After visiting the hospital and was diagnosed with cancer.
