p>After parents were angry and have criticized the convention on social media, organizers of a Minecraft convention declared that they were "truly sorry".

p>However, a lot of people have said they waited for hours to meet with famous players, and have demanded refunds.

p>O'Brien Event Management said a new system to cut down on queues would be implemented in future.

p>The convention that was not endorsed by Mojang, Minecraft-developer, offered fans the opportunity to meet YouTube? stars, take photos, and play games.

p>Lisa O'Brien of O'Brien Event Management previously stated to the BBC that the queues were 45 minutes long because of the large number of people who showed at the event and did not purchase tickets in advance.

p>The company also released a statement on its website, saying: "We are truly sorry that our event did not meet the expectations of a few people."

/p>

p>"MineVention?" is a meet-and-greet event, which means there will be lines. However it will offer children the unique opportunity to meet their heroes.

/p>

p>"We have received all of your feedback regarding this event into consideration. Going forward, we will be putting into place a new queueing system, as well as more content."

/p>

p>The company also issued an announcement from Peterborough Arena, which was responsible for catering, which was blamed for the "sheer volume" of people who came through the doors during the day for the long lines.

p>Both parties stated that they would respond to any parents who had contacted them in due course.

p>Online ticketing firm YPlan said it was "actively seeking information from the event's organizer to understand their stance on refunds , and will attempt to compensate all our customers who were dissatisfied with this event".
