p>Microsoft, the company that owns Minecraft and Minecraft, offered a small group of players an "golden ticket" to try out its new AR device Hololens.

p>The company is currently developing an improved version of Minecraft that will run on the system. It lets gamers project their designs onto any flat surface in 3D.

p>Callum Ward, who tried the device on Saturday said to BBC News it was "more difficult" to use than a console.

p>His brother Toby acknowledged that it took a bit of getting used to, but he also praised the "cool features" added to the game, such as the ability to knock out other players with lightning strikes.

p>Minecon 2015 set a record for the highest number of tickets sold at an event that focuses on one game.
