p>As COVID-19 concerns prompt closures of schools across the world many educators are turning to remote learning to keep students engaged. To aid teachers and students in staying connected to the classroom, Minecraft: Education Edition is now available through June 2020 for all educators and learners who have a valid Office 365 Education account. p>We have also compiled a special Minecraft remote learning toolkit that includes more than 50 lessons, STEM curriculum and project-based learning exercises so that teachers can utilize Minecraft: Education Edition with their students, whether they are at home, at school, or in a remote learning environment.

p>Features like classroom multiplayer allow students to collaborate on projects in their Minecraft worlds, while building, planning, learning and even chatting while they work together. Students can utilize tools like the Camera and Book & Quinl to take screenshots and write about their work and export their game portfolios to PDF once they are ready to submit their work.

p>"Distance learning requires students to be engaged in new ways with their content," explains educator and Minecraft certified trainer Becky Keene. "As they work from home they must have activities and environments that inspire them to learn. Minecraft supports almost any topic and allows students to show me their learning without a break!"

p>When students collaborate via remote in Minecraft: Education Edition, it presents new opportunities to build communication and problem-solving skills. Mark Henkels, a Minecraft educator in New York, says, "It's the social interaction that's the main reason the reason why Minecraft is so well-liked and loved. It's the reason why Minecraft is such a an educational and enjoyable environment."

The new Education Collection features worlds that you can play with your children and familymembers, as well as creations by creators Everbloom, Jigarbov, Lifeboat, Razzleberries, The World Foundry, Blockworks and Imagiverse! These worlds are available for free until June 30, 2020. Anyone with Minecraft for Bedrock can find these worlds by starting Minecraft and then navigating to the in-game store.
