p>LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) - Technoblade is a top YouTube? creator who was a specialist in Minecraft let's-play videos was killed a year after he revealed an illness that was cancerous, according to an announcement from his family. He was 23 years old.

p>In an emotional YouTube? video shared on Technoblade's channel the YouTuber?'s father revealed that his son had passed away. His father stated, "He was the most amazing child anyone could dream of." "I am so sorry for Technoblade."

p>The video, which was uploaded on Thursday and titled "so long nerds," included a posthumous note from the creator to his fans that was read by his father. "Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you're reading this I'm dead," Technoblade's message said and revealed his real name as Alex. "Thank you to everyone who have supported my content throughout the years. I believe Technoblade would be my choice should I have another hundred lives. Those were the most enjoyable years of my life.

p>On Technoblade's online store, a message says "In the memory of his passing, a portion of proceeds from all online orders will be donated to a wonderful organization known as curesarcoma.org," linking to the Sarcoma Foundation of America.

p>Technoblade, who's online avatar was a crown king pig, currently has 10.8 million subscribers to his YouTube? channel. "I play video games too much. I might not be the greatest, but I do have hot elbows," his YouTube? bio reads.

p>A statement at the end of the video that was shared Thursday reads, "We, the family of Technoblade wanted you to know just how much he loved and valued his fans and colleagues. Technoblade was always looking for ways to delight and reward his followers from the beginning. Even after his eventual success, he managed to maintain his good-natured humility, competing with a charming balance between his self-confidence and self-deprecating wit. We ask you to respect his wishes to keep his identity secret and to avoid becoming famous.

p>The statement continued, "This past year has had a lot of bumps for our son, who was fighting stage four cancer. But he never complained and continued to use his famous strategic mind to overcome what he thought were impossible odds. My son's determination on this path was a shining lesson to all of us who were fortunate enough to be with him. We are grateful that you were able to share his journey with us, as he completed the work he loved for his loved ones.

p>According to his father, Technoblade composed his final message to his fans approximately eight hours before his death. His father stated that although Technoblade didn't get all he wanted to, he did receive the most important points.

p>Technoblade disclosed his cancer diagnosis in August 2021. He said he started feeling pain in his right arm earlier in the month, initially believing it was a recurrent stress injury caused by gaming.
