/p>
p>Minecraft players should be on the watch for Walter "softy" and his stinky pants.
/p>
p>You can now add Walter, Dennis, the Menace, and Gnasher from The Beano to the PC version of the game.
/p>
p>Players can create a sausage for Gnasher and play with all of Dennis Gnasher's best tricks including catapults, stink bombs.
/p>
p>It's part the Beano's larger plans to expand into digital. The mod was created in collaboration with the cartoonist and Frima Studios, which is a Canadian multiplatform game creator.
/p>
p>Mark Cotton, who is leading digital changes at Beano Mark Cotton, who is the head of digital at Beano Newsbeat that Minecraft is "their biggest passion and their greatest love"
/p>
p>Mark says that the game is an extension of the comic and a way of making The Beano "a more holistic experience" for children.
/p>
p>"Roughly 32,000 comics are sold every week in the Beano - so still a very healthy number," he says.
/p>
p>It's still far lower than the two million copies sold at the height of the magazines.
/p>
p>Mark says, "We are very conscious that today's kids are passionate about digital."
/p>
p>"We must create The Beano an all-encompassing brand, where Dennis and Gnasher are everywhere the children are, instead of expecting them to visit our store.
/p>
p>"So we're working to an entire series of articles on the coming three to six months."
/p>
p>Among them are puzzle apps, interactive comics, and an "action 3-D game for children".
/p>
p>DC Thompson, The Beano's publisher has already expanded the brand to a TV show and a photo-sharing app along with YouTube? channel.
/p>
p>Grand Theft Auto?
/p>
p>The comic has been around since 1938 and has many adult readers. So might the Beano characters make an appearance in any adult games - Dennis the Menace in Grand Theft Auto perhaps?
/p>
p>"No. Mark says, "No.
/p>
p>"We are focusing on the 7-11-year-old digital product. At the moment digital is all about engaging with children and understanding their passions.
/p>
p>In order to accomplish this, they've consulted an advisory group of 10 7 to 11-year-old Beano and Minecraft fans throughout the development process.
/p>
p>Minnie the Minx
/p>
p>"We basically asked kids"If you could put Beano into Minecraft, what do you think?'
/p>
p>"This was the initial stage of what they had in mind. Their imaginations can go far beyond what we can do right now.
/p>
p>"But they were looking for pranks. They wanted Walter, Gnasher and Dennis. https://hagan-conley-2.blogbright.net/these-minecraft-ancient-city-redesigns-are-gloriously-green-1664924175 They got them.
/p>
p>"We'll keep talking to them. We'd like to expand our reach and create Beanotown so that children can be creative.
/p>
p>"Minecraft is so popular because it gives children the ability to make decisions. If we try to restrict the kids and tell them what they should do they'd reject it."
/p>
p>Are there any other characters who will be featured? https://woodfifth14.bravejournal.net/post/2022/10/04/The-Ultimate-Guide-To-Minecraft-Server-List </p>
p>Mark says, "We certainly want to extend it."
/p>
p>"Minnie the Minx is the obvious persona and the one that kids have been asking about, so I'm going to consider next."
