<p>Technoblade: Minecraft YouTuber dies from cancer at the age of 23

<p>Technoblade, a YouTuber on Minecraft has passed away at the age of 23. His family posted an emotional video of his funeral on his behalf.
</p>
<p>The video, which was titled "so long nerds" and shared to his 10 million followers and showed his father calling him "the most amazing kid anyone could ever want".
</p>
<p>The US internet personality became famous for livestreaming and posting clips of him playing the sandbox videogame.
</p>
<p>Technoblade announced to his fans last year that he had been diagnosed with cancer.
</p>
<p>The farewell message that he wrote hours before his death and read by his father, read: "Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you're watching this. I am dead."
</p>
<p>He then revealed that his real name was actually Alex, reminiscing about the time he had pranked viewers into thinking his name was Dave.
</p>
<p>He said, "Thank you all so much for your support for my work throughout these years," he added. "If I had another hundred lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade over and over again as those were the happiest years of my life."
</p>
<p>The online star, who won Minecraft tournaments and had a horde of fans chatting about his life in a humorous way during the game explained in a video for fundraising published in February that he undergone chemotherapy, radiation therapy and a limb-salvage operation after he was diagnosed with a painful tumour in his right arm.
</p>
<p>He died from sarcoma, which is a rare bone and soft tissue cancer.
</p>
<p>He announced his diagnosis of cancer in August 2021, stating that he initially believed that the pain he was feeling was a result of a repetitive stress injury due to excessive gaming. After his arm started swelling, he went to hospital and was later diagnosed with cancer.

<p>Technoblade's real identity is not known. However, his online avatar was a photo of a crown pig.

<p>'Strategizing in heaven'

<p>Fans as well as fellow gamers and YouTubers have paid tribute to him on the internet following the news of his passing.

<p>J Schlatt recalled, "I'll never forget the day I met Technoblade." "I left my job early to join him in the Minecraft tournament. I barely knew how to play... and the dude still carried us to win the whole event.
</p>
<p>"Rest in peace, big guy. You'll always be a legend."
</p>
<p>YouTuber Captain Puffy who is also known as Cara tweeted: "Rest in peace Technoblade He treated me with love and respect and never denied me access to anything. He couldn't have been more kind!"
</p>
<p>She added, "Thanks for everything you have done for the community. It will never be the same again without you."
</p>
<p>Tommy Innit said: "Technoblade is a legend. From being a massive fan, to being one of his friends, I cannot even begin to describe how grateful I am to have been in his life. I can tell he's planning in heaven on how to defeat God ..."

<p>Ludwig Ahgren added, "I've been watching Technoblade for more than an hour." "He was so witty, so humble even in the most difficult of times. I'll always look up to him."

<p>Quackity expressed his gratitude online as well and wrote: "I had the opportunity to convey to Technoblade the admiration and gratitude I felt for him, not only for the huge impact he had on all of us and his incredible humour, but also for maintaining his incredible humour even in the darkest of times. I will miss him so much."

<p>Jake Lucky, an eSports player, said "May you rest and be at peace."
</p>
<p>Technoblade's father thanked fans in the video of his farewell, noting: "You meant a lot to him."
</p>
<p>He explained that a portion of online purchases for the products of his son would now be donated to the cause.
</p>
<p>The video concluded with a letter from his family, which read: "We, the family of Technoblade we wanted everyone to know how much he adored and respected his fans and his colleagues.
</p>
<p>Technoblade was active since the beginning of his career. He was always looking for ways to delight and reward his followers. He gave away prizes online and encouraged good sportsmanship and shared his Minecraft adventures for laughter and entertainment.
</p>
<p>"Even after his success, he somehow managed his good-natured humility and competed with an endearing balance of confidence and self-deprecating humor."
</p>
<p>Minecraft allows players to create their own virtual world by digging holes and collecting blocks.
</p>
<p>Recent updates to the game have been utilized to help children explore and develop their career skills and knowledge, and to find solutions to real world problems such as flooding.
</p>
<p>Ted Nevison described Technoblade as being "effortlessly funny" and "endlessly talented". "Gone too soon," he said.
</p>
<p>Bad Boy Halo also paid their respects, saying: "Words cannot express how you'll miss. The lives you touched and the impact you've made on them will be with us forever."
</p>
<p>Slimecicle said Technoblade's "personality and sense of humour were a true source of inspiration for me and many others."
</p>
<p>"Thank you for everything you did for a world that took you too soon, you will always be a legend."
