NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% growth over 2019. Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to see a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019, he added. "The United States has been our largest source of tourism for Israel inbound. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak we had been celebrating record-breaking numbers of Israel's tourism entry each month. Canada, not too far from the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the number of tourists visiting Israel.
